Winchester® StaBALL™ 6.5 is the world’s first temperature-insensitive BALL® Powder, stable in extreme-hot or -cold conditions. It provides optimal loading density in cartridges appropriate for the burn speed, which is ideal for 6 Creedmoor, 6GT, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7MM-08, 270 Winchester and many more. Typical of a ball powder, precise metering contributes to improved velocity and pressure standard deviations, ingredients that are paramount to match grade accuracy! This REACH-compliant, “environmentally green” propellant has copper fouling reducer additives, meaning longer durations of competition and field shooting without having to clean the bore. Precision accuracy throughout the match! Velocity levels obtainable, depending on the cartridge, are 30-200 fps greater than other propellants in its class. Stability, Precision and Speed, says Winchester StaBALL 6.5 is the “Best of the Best”!
I have a Tikka T3x Superlite in 6.5 CM and could not get it shoot any bullet sub-moa. This gun has a great reputation and think I must have gotten a unicorn. I removed the "speed bumps" from the stock and tested several bullets and powders. I really like Scirocco bullets and wanted a temp stable powder, so thought I'd try StaBALL. I performed a ladder test of 42.1-43.9 grains in .2 increments, loaded several rounds close to the flattest velocity nodew, and found a tack driver. .6 moa at 200 yards. I'm very pleased with the combination.

Review
I have found that StaBall 6.5 indeed produces very accurate groups, in my 300 Wsm it means all bullets in a five shot string will be touching! however this is at an average velocity approximately 100-200 FPS lower than other powders. In my 300 WSM this is a worthwhile trade off for me so I have used it exclusively since finding a load with the Hornady 200 gr Eld-X. In other calibers I have not been impressed with the accuracy or velocity enough to switch from other loads I had already built.

This has become my go to powder. I load two rifle cartridges 233 cal and 6.5 Creedmoor. Gun depending but groups are very consistent across different temperatures throughout the year. Accuracy is only achievable through consistent loads.

StaBall 6.5
This is a fair priced product that meters perfect for precise loading and although not as high of velocity the accuracy was exceptional. Using 143ELDX bullets we shot a 1.6” group at four hundred yards. That is my go to powder for medium weight Bullets and in this case even the 143’s work well with it.

StaBall 6.5 Powder
Since the availability of Hodgdon H4350 powder has been difficult to acquire, I purchased the Staball 6.5 powder. I have been pleasantly surprised. It meters well and the powder charge is consistent throughout the reload process. I load 6.5 Creedmoor rounds and have been able to consistently hit targets at 1000+ yards. Burn rate is outstanding and is clean. After firing 50 rounds through my Tikka T3x Superlite you can barely see any residue in the barrel. I highly recommend this powder for reloading long range rifle rounds for hunting or tactical and is now my powder of choice.

6.5 Staball results.
Very pleased with the results I'm getting from Staball powder. I have a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. With 43.8 grains of Staball, Fed GM210M primers, Winchester cases, and Sierra 142 grain Matchking bullets I get perfect cloverleaf groups at 100 yards. The smallest was .395 and largest .444 ctc. The standard deviation with this load is a mere 5 fps. Chronographed this load at 2699, 2704, and a duplicate 2704. You can't beat that.

Did they even test this stuff?
You can get good speed with it but its SD is horrible. This is across multiple platforms including, 6.5CM, 300 WSM, 308, and my 6.5*284NM. Just seems like temp insensitivity wouldn't really matter as a marketing ploy if it consistently underperforms. It is also difficult to find any node where you can work in. This is verified across two separate Chronographs.

Steagall 6.5
One of the other reviewers stated it would not work well for him. And to that point I have a high dollar rifle that hates STaBall ,will not shoot anything well with it. Have two others that are sub MOA without any issues. Its like any other powder, some rifles will like it, some won't. But I've found that you need to get near max load for the magic to happen. it meters great, and in most of my rifles that are in the usage range for it ,it performs well.

Great Powder
I've been using Staball working up loads for my 6.5 CM. I love how easy the powder is to meter amd trickle. Down range the results are impressive, I'm getting 1/4- 1/2 MOA when I do my job. It doesn't seem to be primer sensitive. I get the same performance with BR or regular primers. I have used Varget and some other offerings and am not get a noticeable improvement from these great powders. It is my go to for Creedmoor.

Bought this powder specifically for my 257 Roberts and 260 Remington. Worked up great loads for both with Barnes TTSX bullets. Both showed a significant increase in velocity. Last week my wife used the new load in my 257 Roberts to take her first antelope. Love this powder!

I like this powder very much for my 6.5c rifle, I get excellent groupings at 200yds which beats most factory rounds. Very pleased, the draw back is that I can't get 8 pounders.
